Hazel Enid Mitchell, 87, of Malta, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 in Marietta, Ohio.
She was born December 19, 1924 in Rosedale, West Virginia in Braxton County, the first daughter of the late Dewey and Della (Lawson) Mace.
She was a wife and homemaker. She loved music and singing, and sang in her church choir. She enjoyed gardening, animals, and spending time with her family. She was a Christian and had a great love for the Lord.
She married Carl C. Mitchell May 10, 1945.
She is survived by one daughter, Dixie Lee Rollyson; a grandson, David (Mary) Rollyson; a granddaughter, Deborah (Greg) Long; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; one sister, Azcal (Jerry) Wilson; and a brother-in-law George Moore.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; a daughter, Betty Lou; and a sister, Evelyn Moore.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 14, at the funeral home, with Paster Floyd Chappelear officiating.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Rosedale Cemetery in Rosedale, West Virginia later on Monday afternoon.
