Barbara Eileen (Ray) McElfresh

Barbara Eileen Ray McElfresh 78, of McConnelsville,  went to be with her husband and love of her life Nathan C. McElfresh who died April 15, 1998, on March 5, 2018 at Riverside Landing.  She was born January 3, 1940 in McConnelsville the daughter of the late Russell Ray and Agnes Walls Ray. She graduated from M&M High School, worked for J.C. Penny  Co. and the First National Bank/ Huntington Bank for 39 years. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband, her grandchildren, mushroom hunting and spending time at the cabin. She is survived by her daughter, Annette (Jeff) Ford; son, Nathan Alan McElfresh; grandchildren, Sydney and Eli Ford,  and Sadie; brother, Bruce (Janet) Ray and many wonderful brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, and a sister, Beatrice (Ted) Greuey.  Special thanks to her many long time friends and family members for their compassion and care during her long term illness. Also thanks to Riverside Landing Staff for their continued attention, care and understanding. At her request, a cremation will take place and services will be held by the family at a later date.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
