Chere' J. Grove, 81, of Hurricane, W.V. and formerly of McConnelsville passed away Wednesday, July 6,2016 at the Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, W.V.. She was born Mar. 15,1935 in London, Ohio to the late Norman Jones and Hortense Shivler Jones. Chere'  had worked for the Morgan County Clerk of Courts Office for many years and was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Morgan County Women's   Republican Club. She was an avid animal lover and attended the Brunch Bunch at the Blue Bell in McConnelsville. While living in West Virginia she resided at the Sweetbriar Assisted Living Center in Dunbar where she met several new friends. She is survived by 2 daughters Diana Sue (Roger) Cordray of Lindale, Tx. and Kimberly A. (Christopher) Hanlin of Hamilton, a son William "Bill" (Teresa) Grove of Hurricane, W.V., 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, 4 sisters Sue (Dick) Minner, Norma and her late husband (Dick) Dunkle, Carolyn (Don) Snell, and Cathy (Larry) Harrison all of London, a brother Bud (Teresa) Jones of Newark. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Leroy Grove. Calling hours will be Friday, July 8, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kirkwood Cemetery in London with the Rev. Jeff Smalley officiating.
