D. Curtis Best 77, of Malta passed away at 1:30 a.m. November 25, 2016 at his home.He was born May 10, 1939 in Penn Township the son of the late Harold Best and Vesta Miller Best. He was a farmer, former Malta Township Trustee, a member of the Morgan County Farm Bureau, served on the Morgan County Fair Bd. from 1967 to 1994, president of the southeast Ohio Colt Circuit, county committeeman for Farm Service Agency, and the Lakeside Riding Club. He is survived by his wife, Sally Dutro Best whom he married October 11, 1959; sons, Steven and Teri Best of McConnelsville, Brian (Kathy) Best of Pennsville; grandchildren, Dustin Best, Eric (Halie) Best, Christen (Matt) St Clair, Cole Best ,Trista (Randy) Nelson, Dana (Kayla) Best; great grandchildren, Trayton and Ryder Nelson, Oliver, Henry and Mason St Clair, Clara Best and Rayleigh Best; sister in law, Lucille Best of Pennsville, two nieces and one nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Jean Innis and brothers Dean, Donald and Dana best, one nephew Jeff Best. At his request a cremation will  take place and private services will be held at Zion Cemetery.  Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is in charge of arrangements.Memorial contributions may be made to the M&M Fire Dept. 77 S 4th Street McConnelsville, Ohio 43756.
