Mary Annabelle Alderman, 92, of McConnelsville passed away at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, July 17,2016 at the Riverside Landing Nursing & Rehab in McConnelsville. She was born June 1, 1924 in Zanesville to the late Freeman Davis and Nora Belle Eichhorn. After graduating from M. & M. High School in 1942 she was employed at Line Material in Zanesville. She was a member of the Seventh Street Church of Christ, Valley Chapter #19 O.E.S., Malconta Garden Club, and the Thea Court of Columbus. She also was a volunteer at Mark Rest Center, Bethesda Hospital and their Rose Society. Mary enjoyed gardening, quilting, crochet and visiting with her grandchildren and greats. She is survived by two sons Larry (Susan) Alderman of McConnelsville and Jerry (Pam) Alderman of Columbus, grandchildren: Tricia (Aaron) Breighner of Bucyrus, Jason (Terra) Alderman of Largo Fl., Courtney (John) Finizio of Columbus, Brittany Alderman of Columbus, Kelsey (Kim) Compton of Columbus, Shannon Smith and Melissa Cotton, great grandchildren: Trey, Gavin, Kylan, Kamdyn, Carmella, Giovanni, Harlyn, Sadie, Quinn, Hannah and Hallie. Also, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband K. Lawrence Alderman, a sister Thelma Davis Patterson and brothers Ronald, Donald, Byrle, Clarence, Bob and Dean Davis, also a daughter-in-law Grace Alderman. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Evang. Sam Bartrug officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Lawrence in the Olive Cemetery in Caldwell. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice or The American Cancer Society.
