Rena Pearl (Patterson) BingmanApril 8, 1922 ~ December 2, 2017 (age 95)
Rena Pearl Bingman, formerly of McConnelsville passed away December 2, 2107 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born April 8, 1922 in Deerfield Twp, Morgan County to the late Perley W. and Rose Taylor Patterson and graduated form M. & M. High School, Class of 1939. She retired after more than 30 years as bookkeeper for the Morgan County Herald and, the family business of McConnelsville Tire Shop. During WWII, she was assistant Executive Secretary for the American Red Cross in Muskingum County. Pearl was a member of Seventh Street Church of Christ and taught many Bible classes through the years. She attended Dublin Powell Church of Christ; charter member of Alpha CCL and volunteered at Genesis Health & Rehab for several years. She is survived by Max (Joy) Bingman of Marysville; Bonnie Ford of Dublin; and Mark (Kim) Bingman of Maumelle, AR.; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Bingman on December 21, 2104, after 73 years of marriage and two brothers, Willard Patterson and Lloyd Patterson. Calling hours will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, and from 10-11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the Seventh Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Church with Evangelist Sam Bartrug and Evangelist Randy Baker officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Ralph in Deerfield Cemetery. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
