Scott Elliott Apperson, 52, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.  He was born on May 31, 1965 in Zanesville Ohio to Duane and Sue Elliott Apperson. He was a 1983 graduate of Morgan High School and a 1988 graduate of Ohio University.  He is survived by his wife, Nadine Zeigar Apperson, and two daughters, Taylor and Paige Apperson.  Other surviving family members include father Duane Apperson, sisters Laurie Kennard and Erica McKelvey, nieces Lindsay Kennard Gates, Erin Kennard, Haley McKelvey, Allison McKelvey, Brooke McKelvey, Isabel Opal and nephews Cameron Greely, Ethan Greely, and Gabriel Opal.  He was preceded in death by his mother Sue Elliott Apperson and a niece, Macy Kennard.  He worked for many years in California before founding Genesys Packaging in Lorane, Pennsylvania.  Scott was a loving and devoted father to his daughters Taylor and Paige, supporting Paige’s gymnastics and Taylor’s cheerleading activities.  Because of Scott’s love and support, Paige has signed on with the George Washington University gymnastics team and Taylor is a proud student at Penn State University.  He enjoyed mountain climbing and achieved some of his greatest accomplishments in the sport including summiting Mt. Rainier in Washington and Mt. Whitney in California.  He also enjoyed mountain biking and was an avid Ohio State football fan.  Scott will always be remembered for his willingness to help others.
Family and friends may gather at Miller-Huck Funeral Home on Saturday, November 4th, from 1-4pm.  A brief memorial service will be held at 4:15pm.  A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Morgan High School Athletic Boosters, 800 Raider Drive, McConnelsville, Ohio 43756.
