Sylvia S. Coler 81, of McConnelsville , passed away at 3:12 a.m. November 23, 2016 at Riverside Landing in McConnelsville. She was born March 24, 1935 in Malta the daughter of the late Robert Niceswanger and Elta Guy Niceswanger. She retired after 31 years at Malta Manufacturing, she was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church in Malta and Valley Chapter OES of McConnelsville. She was raised by her grandmother Elva Niceswanger. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Barry) Carr of Chesterhill, Cathey (Don) Sparling of Fleming, and Susan(Wes) Hogue of Adairsville, Ga.; grandchildren, John and Jason Hogue, Jason Sparling, Taneka Sparling-Ponchak, Harvest Lang, Cierra Lang, Carletta Bennett, Colette Stieger and Clinton Carr; great grandchildren Andrew and Cole Sparling-Ponchak, Skylee and Ashton Lang, Seneca and Maxwell Lang, Tisehelle Lang, Colin and Emily Bennett, Sebastian and Sloane Stieger, Austin, Bleytin, Braylin, Jessica and Ethan Hogue, Alyssa and Scott Sparling; sister, Delores Haffedner of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; brothers, Max  (Donna) Niceswanger of Florida, Roger Niceswanger of California. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Coler  who died Oct. 30, 2011; brothers, Richard and Grant Niceswanger. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Malta United Methodist Church in Malta with Reverend Maryann Tomlinson officiating.
