William L. Roe

William L. Roe 79, of McConnelsville, passed away at  7:35 p.m. April 15, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital In Columbus. He was born December 2, 1938 in Washington County the son of the late Charles Frank Roe and Nellie Wallace Roe. He was a retired supervisor for Central Ohio Coal Co. and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Iris Taylor Roe whom he married Jan 17, 1998; sons, Kenneth (Barbara) Roe of Stockport, Keith (Dianna) Roe of Stockport, and Michael McIntire of Cambridge; six grandchildren, Brad, Sheena, Jenny, Tanner, Toby and Travis; seven great grandchildren; step children, John (Alynn) Clemens, Suzy (Eric) Lambes, Bart (Christina) Clemens and Mary Clemens and Russell Heben; six step grandchildren; and one step great grandchild; one sister, Nancy Henry of Waterford and a sister in law, Norma Roe of Waterford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lorena "Toots" Engle and a brother, Wayne Roe. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. He will be laid to rest with military honors by the American Legion Color Guard in Ebenezer Cemetery near Neelysville.
