William E. Six, 55, of Malta, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville.
"Bill" fought a 5-1/2 year courageous battle with brain cancer.
Bill was an avid hunter of deer, rabbits, and raccoons. Bill hunted mushrooms, ginseng and arrowheads.
Left to mourn his loss are his mother, Alice Clay Curtis of Malta; his wife, Amanda (Harper) of the home; children, Andraha Six of Zanesville, Elise Six of Sonora, Marry Baker of Malta, and Andrew and Roy Sweat of the home. Others include his mother-in-law, Phyllis (Jim) Staugh of Beverly and father-in-law, Joe Harper of Hackney; brother-in-law, Joe Harper of Beverly; grandchildren, Allorah and Arayah Cook, Jarone Six, and Delaney Nichols; brothers, Daniel and Carl Six both of Malta; one sister, Candy Roberts of Stockport; one great-grand aunt, Francis Mates of Malta; aunts, Gretta Robertson of Newton Falls and Edna (Arthur) Abrams of McConnelsville; uncles, Howard Clay of Malta, Bernard (Linda) Clay of Malta and Elmer Clay of Newton Falls; nieces, Dawn, Jessica, Tomasena, and Nevaeh; nephews, Carl, Gary, Daniel, Bocephus, Hayden, and Caleb; special "niece," Sunshine Clay; and many great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death is his daughter, Namiemay; step-father, Elmer Curtis; and uncle, John Clay.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Miller Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
Funeral services will be held at Malta Bible Church, in Malta, with Pastor Matt Workman officiating, at 11 a.m. Friday, with final visitation one hour prior to the service.
Bill will be laid to rest at the Curtis Family Cemetery in Malta.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Miller Huck Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses, on his behalf, or to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Bill.
