Madelon Bowman Obituary

Madelon K. Bowman, 83, of McConnelsville passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville. She was born March 19, 1940 in Stockport  a daughter of the late, Weir Kern and Mary Lou Ellis Kern. Madelon was a homemaker and was a former part time employee of Shrivers Pharmacy in McConnelsville. She was a member of the McConnelsville Methodist Church and was a volunteer delivering  Meals on Wheels for many years. Madelon was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards. She loved watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren playing sports. She is survived by two daughters, Kelly (Jeff) Williams of Pennsville, Lynn (Todd) Butler of Zanesville, two sons, Mark (Cheryl) Bowman and Tim (Lorrie) Bowman all of McConnelsville; seven grandchildren, Chase Bowman, Elijah Bowman, Carissa Murray, Brady Bowman, Lucas Williams, Abby Crouse and Colton Butler. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren;  a brother, Paul (Irene) Kern of Mason; and a niece, Mia Kern. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Paul Gene Bowman and a brother Richard Kern. Friends and family may call Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 3-5 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Phil King officiating. Madelon will be laid to rest beside her husband in McConnelsville Cemetery  at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McConnelsville Methodist Church or to the M. & M. Fire Dept. E.M.S. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.miller-huck.com
