Dorothy Louise Aber, 84, of McConnelsville, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at Riverside Landing in McConnelsville.
She was born April 16, 1934, in Blue Rock, OH, the daughter of the late Elmer "Red" Dickson and Lucille Work Dickson.
She was the only child and looked forward to family get togethers to see her many cousins. She graduated from Roseville High School and then worked at Family Home Products. Her life was filled with sounds of laughter on holidays from her precious grandchildren, Brandi and Tori, who would spend countless hours with her. These moments cannot be remade and they will be treasured until the end of time.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Aber of Zanesville; a son, William (Becky) Aber of Pennsville; granddaughters, Brandi Aber of Zanesville, Tori (Trevor) Schwartzmiller of Zanesville, and Josi Aber of the United States Air Force, in Wichita Falls, TX; great-grandchildren, Judah and Jadah Offineer and Tilly and Tava Schwartzmiller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Aber, who died Nov. 19, 2014. They were married June 10, 1955.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Miller-Huck Funeral Home, in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, with Rick Bourne officiating.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Malta Cemetery.
