Jessie M. (Ross) Hickerson

Jessie M. Hickerson, 89, of Malta, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio. She was born November 19, 1928 in Bartlett, Ohio to the late Dow and Ethel Kille Ross. She was a member of the Seventh Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Melvin O. Hickerson; sons, Mel (Mary Beth) Hickerson,Todd (Linda) Hickerson; and daughter, Janice (Tim) Riley. Six grandchildren; Clinton Riley, Abby (Landon) Cole, Andrew (Stephanie) Hickerson, Tyler (Emily) Hickerson, Adam Hickerson, Rachel Hickerson and five great grandchildren; Jozi Brown, Raegen Riley, Brenna Cole, Paige Cole and Hayden Hickerson; and a Special niece, Bonnie (Jim) Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers; Keith, Gail,Tommy and Allen Ross. Calling hours will be held from 12 to 2 p.m.Friday, March 9, 2018 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, followed by graveside services at 2:00 p.m. at Malta Cemetery with Evangelist Sam Bartrug officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the  Seventh Street Church of Christ or the M&M Fire Department in McConnelsville.
