Joan Herrmann left this world surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in the home of her sister, Mary, in Gilbert, South Carolina.
Born July 3, 1937, in McConnelsville, OH, to the late Thomas and Doris Kenney, Joan loved her family, Ohio State football, and her many close friendships.
She will be dearly missed by her surviving sons, Jim (Christy) Herrmann of Palmetto, FL, Jerry (Toni) Herrmann of Huger, SC; and daughter, Judy (Mike) McPeak of McArthur, OH; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mourning her passing will also be her brothers, Tom (Nancy) Kenney, George (Penny) Kenney, Ralph (Loretta) Kenney; and sisters, Mary Jane (Jerry) Zenoni, Kathy (Jim) Nelson and Barbara (Ken) Nichols.
She is preceded in death by her lovely husband, Jack; sons, Jeffrey, Joseph and John; one grandchild, Olivia Petty; brothers, James and Robert; and sister, Anna Morrow.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 5, at Miller-Huck Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at Miller-Huck at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, followed by a graveside burial service at McKendree United Methodist Chuch on Airport Road in McConnelsville, OH.
A celebration of Joan’s life will be held after the graveside service at River Valley Lanes, Riverside Drive in McConnelsville. Family and friends are asked to attend starting at 12 noon.
