The lord is my shepherd
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in
green pastures; he leadth me beside
the still waters.
He restoreth my soul; he leadeth
me in the paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for thou art
with me; thy rod and thy staff
they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runeth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of
the Lord for ever.

The news of your passing is shocking but heartbreaking because of the circumstances. We were young airmen together; I was completely out of my element and had a hard time meshing with our peers; but you were someone Jodi that never made feel out of place. You made me feel like I did belong and I never forgot that. My heart breaks because I know loneliness and I've been in the dark places where light never comes; to imagine you were there too; if I could've stretched out my hand I would've pulled you out because you're my SF sister. I'm sorry you left too soon; but my prayer is your at rest now and all the things that made you feel empty are no longer. I pray peace and strength for your family. You're loved Jodi, may your soul Rest In Peace and love for eternity.

It was my honor to serve alongside Jody at Eielson AFB, Alaska from 2001-2003. Jody contributed to the security of some of our nation's highest priority aircraft, in harsh environmental and weather conditions, and she did so always with positivity, hard work and teamwork. Many of her Wingmen have spoken about how she supported them, which she did often, consistently and unselfishly. I am grateful for her service and her life. RIP, with my deepest respect, Jody. - Tim Farrell, Commander, 354th Security Forces Squadron, Eielson AFB, AK, 2001-2003

Revelation 21:4 says, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Jody, you're home right were God wanted you to be. He has prepared many rooms up there, and one day we will be able to be roommates again! He has a plan, He knows what He is doing, and although I might not understand it – I will put my trust in Him.

I have heard that the hyphen between the two dates on a headstone is the most important part, because it represents the person’s life. I’m so happy that I got to be a part of your hypen.
I haven't been the same since I heard you were gone! I have laid awake wondering how you got so lonely why you didn't feel like you could call and talk to me! I know you would say because I have a family and you didn't want me to worry about you! But Jody I miss you....not the miss you like I know I can pick up the phone and call you....but the miss you in which I know no matter how many times I call you won't be picking up the other end of the line!
I don't just miss the big thing like your presence, I miss the little things...your laughter, your smile, your ability to burn rice no matter how many times I showed you how to cook it, the way you were so nice to everyone, good with dogs and children, and the way you held yourself with such poise and dignity!
You taught me how to be a better person and you touched my life, it is that much better because of you! You were not only my best friend but my unbiological sister! I will never forget you Jody Connell! I'll say goodbye only for a short time until we meet again! I love you!!
