Maxine M. Thomas, 85, of McConnelsville, passed away at 12:17 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
She was born August 17, 1932, in Morgan County, a daughter of the late Bryant Elwood Roberts and Gladys Ashton Roberts.
She worked at several area restaurants, The Times Recorder, Dominos Pizza, and was a bus driver for Morgan Local Schools. She was also a Republican Central Committee member.
She is survived by daughters, Sandy Parkhurst and Marci (Tom) Murphy; daughter-in-law, Nanclyn Thomas; one sister, Freda (Bob) Reed; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, William Thomas and Buddy Thomas; daughter, Susan Hoover; brother, Bill Roberts; granddaughter, Crystal Hoover; and a grandson, Dustin Davis.
Friends may call from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Miller-Huck Funeral Home, in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. with pastor Galen Finley officiating.
Burial will follow in Deerfield Cemetery.
