Merrell Lou Flowers Taylor 82 of McConnelsville was born Nov. 29th 1934 in Sherman, Texas to James L & Virginia Kidd Flowers. She was called to be with the the lord on Tuesday, Nov. 21st 2017. She was employed at the Mayors office in McConnelsville and the Morgan County Health Dept. combined over 30 years of her life. She is survived by three sons, Tom II (Cheryl), Tim and Jeff of McConnelsville and one daughter, Deborah Ann (Babs) Taylor Gavin of Cambridge, Ohio.one grandson Zachary Dean Gavin and two granddaughters, Amanda Dianne Carter and Chassie Lynn Gavin. Five great grandkids, Jazmine, Kyle, Tyler & Morgan Carter of Oak Hill, Ohio and David Jenkins of McConnelsville, one sister, Pauldean V. Lilly of Texas and several nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years 6 months, Tom H. Taylor Sr. on October 8th 1994, whom she married April 8th 1955 in Sherman, Texas, three brothers Preston O. Flowers (Sadie) of Sherman, Texas, Thomas F. (Toots) Flowers (Wilma Marie) of Bells, Texas, James L. Flowers (Arvia) of El Centro, California, brother in law Oneal E. Lilly of Sherman, Texas several nieces, nephews, cousins ans one grandson, Jeremy (stillborn). A private family service will be held Saturday, afternoon Nov. 25th at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor Adam Satterthwaite officiating. Burial will follow in Deerfield Cemetery.
