Roy E. Taylor 75, of McConnelsville, passed away at 5:20 p.m. July 26, 2018 at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. He was born December 16, 1942 in Morgan County the son of the late Lawrence Taylor and Gladys Barnhouse Taylor. He retired from Ohio Power Plant in Beverly, Ohio. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, member of the American Legion Post 24 of McConnelsville, Corinthian Lodge #111 F&AM of McConnelsville, and the Morgan Shrine Club. He is survived by his children, Sharma Taylor of Malta, Jason (Jamie) Taylor of Zanesville; grandchildren, Tyler Hite, Taylor (Justin) Hartley, Colleen and Catherine Taylor; great grandchildren, Lane Hite and Zoey Hartley; brother, Jim Taylor of Malta; and a sister Faryl Taylor of Reynoldsburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters; Helen Boyd, Hope Downing, Rena Craft and brothers; Don, Charles, Andrew, Lawrence Junior, and one infant brother. Friends may call 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 2:30 with Pastor Dan Hickerson officiating.
