Russell A. Wilson, 48, of Corning (Portersville), passed away at 11:06 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at Genesis Care, in Somerset, following a sudden illness.
He was born Sept. 14, 1970, in Zanesville, a son of Brooks Wilson and Carol Allison Wilson of Malta.
He was a professor for Strayer University and retired from the city of Tampa, FL.
He is survived by his parents; widow, Denise Shelton Wilson; three daughters, Rosemarie (Matthias) Lapp of Zanesville, Hannah and Rebecca Wilson of the home; two grandchildren, Luke and Asher Lapp; and one brother, Daniel (Judy) Wilson of Malta.
He was President of the Morgan Amateur Radio Club and a member of ARRL.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at Peoples Bank in McConnelsviile, for a fund for his daughter’s education.
