Ruth Ann was in the Newerk Catholic H S gym about 15 years ago watching one of her granddaughters playing basketball. I was refereeing the game and in the pre game I look over and see her. I then broke protocol and went over and talked with her awhile. She was as friendly, majestic, and regal as always. Greg and Chris were helping coach the Granddaughter. I, Phyllis Ann (Patterson) Talley was a class-mate years ago at Malta Grade School, Sunday School at Malta UMC, M&M H.S./1946. Roller skating in summer, sledding in winter, on the Cheer Leading team in H.S. are some of my great memories of being with Ruth Ann.
When occasionally returning for an M&M H.S. Reunion, Ruth Ann was ever the cordial, gracious, out-going person that all of you, her family, have had the privilege of being with all your lives! She was a lovely, lovely person - she will indeed be missed.
