Teresa Lynn Nickell 65 of Johnstown, Ohio passed away on Tuesday March 2, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by family.

She was a graduate of Johnstown High School Class of 1969.  She loved spending time with grandchildren, family and friends.  She enjoyed gardening in her spare time and canning.  Everyone cherished receiving a card from her because they were handmade with love.

Teresa is survived by her husband Bill Nickell, daughter Melanie (Scott) Baker of Rushville, and son Chad (Amy) Nickell of Johnstown; four grandchildren Abbi, Lizzi, Hunter, and Hannah; two sisters Toni Heffley of Croton, Ohio and LuAnn Inskeep of Sunbury, Ohio and special friend Jim Parker of Alexandria, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents Louie and Josephine (Morgan) Bell, brothers Flip and Tim Bell, sisters Cindy Becker, Patti Beal and Robin Fleshman. 

A special thank you goes to Dr. Erin Remster and nurse Wendy from Genesis Hospice for their love and care of Teresa.

A casual memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 19th 4:30 p.m. at the Johnstown American Legion 180 W Maple St.  Friends may visit one hour prior to the service or following the service, when we welcome friends to stay and share memories of Teresa. 

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care 713 Forest Avenue Zanesville, Ohio 43701 in memory of Teresa.
