Alfred G. Thurman 85, of McConnelsville passed away at 2:38 a.m. June 1, 2025 at the Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born April 30, 1940 in Weston the son of the late, Leland Thurman and Gertrude Moorehead Thurman. He was an Industrial Electrician and served in the Air Force for three years, and was a member of the Fairview Holliness Church near Burr Oak. Surviving are his wife, Becky Mapes Thurman; children, Julie Harding of Delaware, Ohio, Amy Fanok of Delaware, Gene Thurman of Rudolph, Ohio, Gary Thurman of Bowling Green, and James Mannon of McConnelsville; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; one brother; and one sister. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. June 7, 2025 at Fairview Hollinesss Church 9805 W. Mountville Rd. Glouster, Ohio 45732 with Mike Wells Officiating. Military rites will follow the service at the church. Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is entrusted with cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview Holliness Church. Special thanks to longtime caregiver, Tina Tippie.
