Alice Marie Shreve, 99, of McConnelsville passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at her home. She was born March 25, 1925 in Adena, Ohio a daughter of the late, Clyde Mason and Gertrude Young Mason. Alice was a long time member of the McConnelsville Methodist Church and the Howard Chandler Christy Art Guild. She was a member of the Southeastern Ohio Watermedia Society. She was a follower of Jesus Christ and was a dedicated mother, wife and grandmother. Alice was an artist and enjoyed painting and various art mediums. She was a fabulous cook and baker specializing in pies and cookies. Alice also was an avid reader, loving mysteries, sewing and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed attending and volunteering at church. Alice was loving, kind, caring, patient, creative, smart and had a good sense of humor. She is survived by a daughter, Donna (Frank) Keyes of Fripp Island, GA., three sons, Ronald (Cristina) Shreve of McConnelsville, Mark (Rhodara) Shreve of Gahanna, and Gary (Jennifer) Shreve of Pleasanton, CA. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lane Shreve and a son-in-law, Patrick Keyes. A private graveside service will be held and she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Lane in Malta Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
