Arthur G.W. Smith, Jr.

Arthur G.W. Smith, Jr.  82 of Beverly, passed away a 12:43 p.m. April 23, 2025 at the Kobacker House in Columbus. He was born November 7, 1942 in Franklin County the son of the late, Arthur Smith and Irene Sharp Smith. He was a general contractor and farmer and an Art of all trades. He was an Army Veteran of the  Vietnam War, member, Deacon and Elder of the Meigs Church of Christ, he loved to fish, hunt, playing music, as well as the outdoors. Surviving are his wife, Sharon Storch Smith; two daughters, Laura Smith and Barbara (Robert) Mitchell; two granddaughters, Danielle and Gabrielle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Arthur Ray Smith; son in law, Charles Hoke; two brothers, Charles and John; and two sisters, Freda and Etta. Friends may call 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the Meigs Church of Christ where services will follow at 3 with Curt Cable officiating. He will be laid to rest in Meigs Cemetery beside his son. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Meigs Church of Christ or the Kobacker House.
