Bobby E. Bennett 78, of Stockport, passed away at 5:49 p.m. June 28, 2018 at the Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born March 2, 1940 in Pennsville the son of the late, William Bennett and Mary Mae Ramsey Bennett. He worked at Finley Packing in McConnnelsville, Taylor Woodcraft and was self-employed and also a farmer. He was a former member of the Pennsville Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by three daughters, Jeanne Bennett of McConnelsville, Kathy (Chris) Eddleblute of McConnelsville, and Linda (Jimmy) Piatt of Chesterhill; one son, Tim (Kayanna) Bennett of Union, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one brother, Gary (Sandy) Bennett of Corning; sisters, Georgia Watson of Dayton, Naomi Barnett of Zanesville, Adalene Thornburg of Newark, Shirley Miller of Letart, W.Va., Jean Baker of Pennsville and Betty (David) Jarvis of Stockport; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold and Keith; sister, Leona Matson and five step sisters. Friends may call 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday with David Jarvis Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Pennsville Cemetery.
