Carl “Gene” Masterson Obituary

Carl E. “Gene” Masterson 84, of McConnelsville, passed away on October 28, 2022. He was born August 17, 1938 in Morgan County the son of the late, Carl W. Masterson and Lorena Greuey Masterson. Gene was the owner of Masterson Insurance for 58 years, member of Grange for 50 years, past ambassador for Morgan Shrine Club, M&M Fire Dept for nine years, M&M Jaycees, Secretary for Morgan County Fairboard in 1976, attended Grace United Methodist Church, Lakeside Riding Club, past member of the Corinthian Lodge F&AM, past member of Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, and the Aladdin Temple Shrine Club of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn McKibben Masterson who he married Aug. 9, 1958; son, Rusty (Julie) Masterson of Malta; daughter, Ria Masterson of Nashport; grandchildren, Alexus Masterson, Austin Masterson, Abby McInturf; brother, Gail (Brenda) Masterson of Alabama. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Tullis. Friends may call 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at McKendree United Methodist Church in McConnelsville where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Sharon Slowter officiating. Gene will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery. Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is entrusted with arrangements.
