Carolyn S. (Roach) Ashton

Carolyn S. Ashton 76, of Malta, passed away at 4:36 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022 at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville. She was born October 27, 1946 in Zanesville the daughter of Bernard J. Roach and Virginia A. Biedenbach Roach. She was a LPN Nurse , worked at Taylor Woodcraft and Malta Manufacturing, she was a private home health nurse and a homemaker. She is survived by her children, James B. Smith of Malta, David L. (Pam) Gavin of Malta, Harold Gavin Jr. of McConnelsville, Lori L. Goodnite of McConnelsville, and Joseph R.(Sharilee) Ashton of Newark; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; sisters; Margaret (Charles) Brooks, Eileen Pettit, Janet (Roger) Rowland, Jeanette Kittle, Diana Hollobaugh, Judy (Dave) Drake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Ashton who died Jan 17, 2022;  a daughter, Jimi Sue Ashton; and a sister, Barbara Hall. Friends may call  12 to 2 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2022 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Galen Finley and Joe Rowland officiating.
