Carolyn McIntire, 78, of Malta passed away May 6, 2026 at her home. She was born August 13, 1947 in Zanesville a daughter of the late, William Hann and Eleanor Huffman Hann. She had formerly worked at the IGA in McConnelsville and Taylor Woodcraft in Malta. She enjoyed reading, shopping, flowers and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Carolyn is survived by her long time companion and partner, Bill Trainer of Malta; two daughters, Amy (Raymond) Drake of Malta, and Kelly (Matthew) Gibeaut of McConnelsville; a sister, Kandy (Steve) Gorrell of Portersville; two brothers, Brent (Jackie) Hann of Beverly and Daniel Wolfe; six grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Flavious Gene McIntire; and a brother, William Hann. A private graveside service will be held at Malta Cemetery. A celebration of life gathering will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 at 4:30 p.m., at the Malta Youth Building in Malta. Memorial contributions may be made to Shrivers Hospice. The family would like to give a special thank you to Shrivers Hospice and nurses Kathy, Karlie, and Gracie for their special care. Miller-Huck Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
