Charlene G. Fleming, 65, of McConnelsville passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at her home. She was born September 12, 1959 in Zanesville a daughter of the late, Walter D. Van Horn and Ramona Lyon Van Horn. Charlene was the custodian for the Main Street Church of Christ for 31 years. She was a very active member of the Main Street Church of Christ where she took care of the nursery and taught Sunday School for 35 years. She also worked with the church youth group and made crafts for the V.B.S. at the church. Charlene is survived by her husband of 43 years, Johnson Fleming; two sons, Alex Fleming and Nathan Fleming both of McConnelsville; a granddaughter, Olivia Nel Fleming; two sisters, Susan Troiano of Stockport and Jackie Shaffer of Caldwell. Also surviving is an uncle, Dewey Van Horn; an aunt, Barbara Reed; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Fleming; and a brother, Walter D. Dean Van Horn. Calling hours will be Friday, April 11, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Main Street Church of Christ and Saturday, April 12 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the church with Evangelist Vernon Eldredge officiating and Charlene will be laid to rest in Meigsville Cemetery. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
