David Lee Hilaman

David Lee Hilaman, 69, of Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Zanesville, Ohio on February 13, 1956, David was the son of the late Walter “Ted” Hilaman and Jeanette Hancher Hilaman.
A proud graduate of Morgan High School, Class of 1974, David went on to build a life centered around family, business, and adventure. He was a dedicated businessman with a sharp mind and strong work ethic, always striving for success in all his endeavors.
David had a deep love for travel and took great joy in exploring new places. Whether sailing on open waters or planning his next road trip, boating and travel were two of his greatest passions.
David is survived by his loving son, Elliot Hilaman; his daughter-in-law, Ines Hilaman; and his cherished granddaughter, Sofia Hilaman. He also leaves behind his siblings: Richard Hilaman (Jenny), Karen Junn (Ed), and Chris Hilaman, along with many nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Susan Evans and Sharon Davis, and his parents.
David will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love for his family, and his unwavering determination. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Calling hours will be Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 12-2 p.m.   at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.  with Pastor Mike Wells officiating and David will be laid to rest in Pennsville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pure Heart (https://pureheartohio.org) in David’s honor.
