David Edward Mays

David Edward Mays, 79, of McConnelsville passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 21, 1945 in Akron, Ohio. He joined the  U. S. Air Force. After serving, he worked various jobs as a laborer. He had a full life and loved gardening, farming, concerts, festivals, fishing, and cruising. He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Mays Finck, Stephanie Mays (Bink Goins); their mother, Cynthia Mays; grandsons, Trent and Casedy Goins, Kyle Finck; great grandson, Lukas Finck; siblings, Daniel and Dennis Mays, Lisa (Joe) Risby. Also surviving are neices and nephews, Tawnia (Jeff), Jason (Charlotte), Mark (Kristin), Ryan (Sarah), Lauren (Ben), Heather, Sara (Adam) and many great nieces and nephews and a bonus daughter, Katrina and Karisa. Dave had more friends than a person can count!! He was preceded in death by his father, Dale (Marilyn) Mays;  mother, Frances Little; sister-in-law, Iretta Mays; son-in-law, Larry Finck;  partner in life, Johnettia Baughman. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 12-2 p.m.  at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home, 62 S. 7th St.  McConnelsville. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.  with Pastor Joe Marshall officiating.  After the funeral, a celebration of life gathering will be at 3 p.m.  at the VFW in Malta.
