Dean Edward Gibson

Dean Edward Gibson 89, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Ohio Hospice Care Center in Dayton, Ohio. He was born August 31, 1932 in Canton the son of the late, Mary Norman Gibson and Edgar Gibson. While growing up, Dean worked diligently on his farm in Morgan County. He subsequently took on various jobs which include the following: an Ohio State Parks Ranger and construction worker, and then he worked as a truck driver for over 40 years. In fact, at age 89, his CDL license was still current. Dean was a quiet, caring, and patient soul, who enjoyed cooking and wearing country western clothing. He is survived by two sons,Tim Gibson of Stewart, Ohio and Ryan Gibson of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Betty Dabney; one grandson, Owen Gibson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Goins. Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Dean will be laid to rest in Malta Cemetery.
