Donald L. Buchanan Sr.

Donald L. Buchanan Sr. 82, of McConnelsville passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at his home with his family at his side. He was born January 22, 1942 in Morgan County  the son of the late Homer Buchanan and Georgia Osborne Buchanan. He was retired from Sprint Telephone Company, attended Fairview Holiness Church near Burr Oak, he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to visit with them on the porch. He always said he had the best wife ever. He is survived by his wife, Doris Campbell Buchanan whom he married November 10, 1962; his daughter, Debbie (Dan) Scott of Malta; son, Donald (Jennifer) Buchanan Jr. of McConnelsville; seven grandchildren, Heather (Damian) Frecker, Donna Danielle (Jordan) Pompey, Cory (Chaz) Canter-Scott, Bailey Buchanan, Macey (Aric) Dodd, Andrew (Kassidy) Buchanan and Michael Buchanan; great-grandchildren, Owen, Annabelle, Stella, Lincoln, Simone, Islam, Karin, Alanna, Addy; a sister, Jeannette Demeter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Spencer; and a brother, Herbert  Buchanan. Friends may call  11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2024 at MIller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Mike Wells officiating.  He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
