Donna (Legg) Sidwell

Donna Sidwell, 91, of Malta passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Riverside Landing Nursing & Rehab in McConnelsville. She was born August 18, 1934 in Ironton, Ohio a daughter of the late Carl Legg and Thelma Maye Legg.  She attended York High School and loved pansies and cactuses. Donna volunteered at the Jesus Loves You Thrift Store in Malta for 30 years. She was a longtime member of the Morgan County Widow’s Sharing Group and attended the Malta Bible Church and the Calvary Baptist Church. Donna is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Robert) Ervin of Malta and Brenda (Alan) Ponchak of McConnelsville;  a son, Robert L. (Beverly) Sidwell of Malta;  six grandchildren, Carrie Lee, Robert W. Sidwell, Thaddius Ponchak, Joel McGrew, Brandon Ponchak, Mykah Harrison; and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Sidwell; a daughter, Mary Ann Sidwell; and a grandson, Justin McGrew. Calling hours will be Monday, April 20, 2026 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the Malta Bible Church.  A funeral service will held at 1 p.m., with Pastor Matt Workman officiating and Donna will be laid to rest beside her husband in Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to  the Morgan County United Ministries for the food pantry or to Gideons International. The family would like to give a special thank you to Genesis Hospice and the staff of  Riverside Landing for the special care given to Donna.
