Doris R. Ray

Doris R. Ray, 87, of McConnelsville passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born March 20, 1933 in Morgan County to the late Delmar Ray and Lura Belle Cordray Ray. Doris had worked at Graphite Bronze in McConnelsville and attended the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. She retired from Central Market in McConnelsville where she was famous for her pepperoni rolls. Doris is survived by her son, Terry Brent (Karen) Ray of Marietta; a step grandson, Levi (Andrea) Boice; two very special friends, Lisa Lowther and Jo Harper; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Maxine McLaughlin, Lucille Bean, Bernice Roberts; and four brothers, Wendall, Myron, Wayne, and Donnie Ray. Due to current Covid 19 health concerns, a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beverly- Waterford Fire Dept. & E.M.S. The family would like to give a special thank you to Marietta Memorial Hospital & Hospice and Dr. Lloyd Dennis.
