Dorothy ‘Dot” (Sheridan) Barkhurst

Dorothy "Dot" Barkhurst, 72, of Malta passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born January 23, 1949 in Zanesville to the late Robert Sheridan and Dorothy Kehl Sheridan. Dot was a homemaker and had worked at the former Malta Manufacturing.  She was a member of the Malta Bible Church. Dot is survived by her husband of  54 years, Paul Barkhurst; a daughter, Shena (Edward) Boyce of Crooksville; a son, Paul (Angela) Barkhurst of Malta; 6 grandchildren; and  20 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are 3 sisters, Pat Foust of  Zanesville, Vicki Bliss of McConnelsville, and Bobbi Bragg of Malta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Littledave; and a brother, Larry Sheridan.  Calling hours will be Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. at the Malta Bible Church where funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. with Pastor Matt Workman officiating. After the service, at her request, cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Malta Bible Church. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of  arrangements.
