Dwight William "Bill" Morris, 88, of Newark passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. He was born October 12, 1933 in Stockport to the late, Earl Morris and Laverne Rowland Morris. Bill was a retired truck driver and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Bill drove stock cars in his younger years and won many trophies for his beautiful cars and trucks. He most loved motorcycles and that never changed even after he could no longer ride. He enjoyed trips to Florida and Myrtle Beach each year and watching Nascar races. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Miller Morris; four daughters, Beth Ann Kutcherinko, Belinda Ellis, Brooke Clemens all of McConnelsville, Debora Bevard of Newark; a son, Michael David Morris of Newark; eleven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brent Morris; a sister, Wanda Thomas; and two brothers, Wendall Shinn and Junior Shinn. At Bill's request, a caring cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held at a later date. Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is in charge of arrangements.
