Fred “Buzzie” Balderson Obituary

Fred Lewis "Buzzie" Balderson, 88, of McConnelsville passed away  Wednesday, October 18, 2023  at his son Steve's home in Stockport. He was born January 18, 1935 in Malta  a son of the late, Fred Vaughn Balderson and Esther Dudley Balderson. Fred was retired from Globe Metallurgical in Beverly where he had worked for over 40 years.  He was a charter member of the Stockport E.M.S. Buzzie enjoyed researching family history and visiting with the Morgan County community. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Hill Balderson; a daughter Page Swartz;  two sons, Steve (Candy ) Balderson of Stockport, Tom Balderson of Waterford; seven grandchildren; and  several great grandchildren.  Also surviving are four sisters, Louise Murphy of McConnelsville, Gloria Thompson of McConnelsville, Kay Tisher of Columbus, Nancy Smith of Miamisburg; a brother, John (Brenda) Balderson of Malta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Van Fossen; and four sisters, Ruth Balderson, Marjorie Jackson, Jane Tuttle, and Colleen Balderson. Friends and family may call Friday, October 20, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023  at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Rowland officiating. Buzzie will be laid to rest in Pennsville Cemetery.
