George B. Woodburn, 89, of McConnelsville passed away May 25, 2022 at the University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born February 22, 1933 in Morgan County to the late Webster Woodburn and Mary Scott Woodburn. George was retired from Globe Metallurgical in Beverly, Ohio. He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and the McConnelsville Eagles Club. He enjoyed playing cards, woodworking and beekeeping. George is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Dan) Junn of Malta, Barbie Woodburn of McConnelsville; a son, Marc (Kathy) Woodburn of Piketon; a daughter-in-law ,Jenny Woodburn of Stockport; a brother, Johnny Woodburn of Hanover, PA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Jason (Shala), Melissa (Troy), Wesley, Jenna(Matt), Janna, Mac, and Ashley; ten great grandchildren, Cade, Owen, Emma, Torin, Audria, Maddie, Ellarae, Lanie, Jordan and Justin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Thomas Woodburn; two sons, Rocky and Russell Woodburn; two sisters, Jessie Vickers and Helen Louise Woodburn; and five brothers, Charles, Delmar, Robert, Don and Herbert Woodburn. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Troy Blackstone officiating. George will be laid to rest beside his wife Norma in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
