Gloria M. Gormley, 78, of Malta passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born May 19, 1943 in Stockport to the late, Ernest Mendenhall and Ruth Morris Mendenhall Campbell. Gloria worked at Essex Wire and United Technologies in Zanesville and retired from Miba Bearings of McConnelsville after 26 years. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed golfing. Gloria was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ and the Morgan County Ladies Golf League. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tom Gormley; a daughter, Shena Valentine of Malta; two sons, Shannon (Jill) Gormley of Fruitland, MD, Shawn (Lisa) Gormley of Malta; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Darlene (John) Reed of Malta, Linda Smith of Rochelle, IL, and Donna (John) Armstrong of Seattle, WA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and James Mendenhall; five sisters, Delores Mendenhall, Betty Wolfe, Judy McPeak, Nancy Cobb, Patty Pettry; step father, Herb Campbell. Calling hours will be Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Vernon Eldredge officiating. Gloria will be laid to rest in Pennsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the M & M Fire Dept.
