Helen L. (Pauley) Martin

Helen L. Martin, 95, of McConnelsville passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 at her home. She was born October 2, 1929 in Middleport, Ohio a daughter of the late, Harley Pauley and Dessie Butcher Pauley. Helen was a homemaker and had formerly worked as a cook at several McConnelsville area restaurants. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and working with flowers. Helen was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of McConnelsville. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harry Martin; a sister, Janice and the late Roy Patterson of Zanesville; a brother, Harlen (Gloria) Pauley of McConnelsville.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews; great and great great nieces and nephews; one very special and dearly loved great great nephew, Joshua Stickrath of McConnelsville; and a special friend, Linda Sheets of Malta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth Pauley, Irene House, Romona Spencer, Janet Van Horn; and four brothers, Robert, Harley, Woodrow, and Johnny Pauley. Calling hours will be Friday, November 1, 2024 from 12-2 p.m. at Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m.  with Pastor Tom  Barton officiating and Helen will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shrivers Hospice.
