James A. Garrett 76, of McConnelsville passed away at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born January 25, 1945 in Morgan County the son of the late, Sidney Garrett and Emma Darringer Garrett. He retired from Miba Corporation after 44 Years, graduate of Deavertown High School in 1963, member of the Corinthian Lodge No 111 F & AM of McConnelsville, life member of the Solomon Lutheran Church. He was a life time Cleveland Indian and Cleveland Brown fan and loved to fish. He is survived by his children, Becky (Roger) Rowland of Zanesville, Vanessa (John) Paul of Crooksville, Rocky Garrett of Crooksville, Reed (Amber) Garrett and Logan Garrett both of McConnelsville; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Shook of Zanesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carma Kalb and Vivian Richardson; a brother, Charles Garrett. Friends may call 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Solomon Lutheran Church near Eagleport with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. He will be laid to rest in Dutch Hill Cemetery.
