James Gary Weaver

James Gary Weaver, 71, of Malta passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at his home with his family at his side. He was born June 25, 1949 in Marietta. Gary was retired from the Morgan County Sheriff's Office where he worked for 27 years. He was in the first class for paramedics in Morgan County.  Gary was a member of the Stockport Fire Department for several years. He was also a member of the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carla Burrfield Weaver; mother, Catherine Revenaugh Weaver of Malta; three daughters, Holly (James) Ross of Blue Rock, Carie (Jay) Quinn of South Zanesville, and Amanda (Nicholas) Sheets of Malta; a son, Cory (Samantha) Knox of Hackney. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Connie Strickland  of Winter Haven, Fl. and Kimberly Minosky of Malta. Gary was preceded in death by his father Eldon Weaver; two brothers, Greg Weaver and Jeff Weaver.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 4 p.m. at the Stockport Cemetery with Pastor Sam Bumgard officiating. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
