Jan Ellis Obituary

Jan E. Ellis, 72, of McConnelsville passed away May 24, 2023 at the James Cancer Hospital  in Columbus. She was born April 14, 1951 in Zanesville to the late, Galen Ferguson and Eleanor Walls Ferguson.  Jan was retired from the First National Bank in McConnelsville where she had worked for over 22 years.  She was a member of the Cross Roads Christian Fellowship Church.  Jan is survived by a daughter, Lynetta Lyon of Logan; three sons, Howard (Amy) Lyon of Gahanna, Michael (Megan) Lyon of  Zanesville, and Robert Ellis of Stockport; three grandchildren, Haley Ellis, Hope Ellis, and Conner Lyon; a brother, Jared Ferguson of McConnelsville. Also surviving are many special bonus grandchildren, several nieces and  nephews and her beloved dog, Lilly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ellis. Friends and family may call from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home  where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. with Charlie Mollahan  officiating. A private graveside service will be after the funeral and Jan will be laid to rest beside her husband Paul in the Ellis Family Cemetery.
