Janet S. Janes

Janet S. Janes 81, of McConnelsville passed away at 10:21 a.m. October 21, 2022 at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville. She was born Sept. 20, 1941 in Stockport the daughter of Captola Calendine. She was a loving mother, worked at Eastern Phone Co. and was Church of Christ by faith, and loved all animals. She is survived by her husband, William C. Janes whom she married August 5, 1961; son, Chad (Naomi) Janes of Malta; grandson, Tyler J. Janes; and step granddaughter, Chelsey Hill; sister, Ginny Alfman of Zanesville;  and a brother, Michael Shaner of Berea, Kentucky. Friends may call 4 to 6p.m. Friday, Oct 28, 2022 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. Burial will be in Stockport Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank Highland Oaks for the excellent care Janet received while she was there.
