Janet Robinson Obituary

Janet Karen Robinson, 74, passed away November 29, 2022, at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, OH.

Born June 9, 1948 to Kenneth G. (Mutt) and Doris “Jean” Spencer Robinson in Zanesville. She grew up in Morgan County as a farmer’s daughter and loved animals of all kinds, especially her horses. She graduated from M&M High School, Class of 1966. She started working at a young age at the Coffee Shop then went on to work at Malta Manufacturing. Her biggest job in life was raising her four children, and any other youngsters that her children brought home after school and on the weekends. She worked very hard all her life, at various restaurants and establishments, as she was an amazing cook, and later being a caretaker for the elderly. She volunteered and served on the Community Action Board of Directors for several years.

She never knew stranger and loved to chat and catch up at the grocery store. She remained involved in extracurricular sports such as softball well into her 40’s. She had a very green thumb and could grow anything. She fought very courageously and tirelessly over the past year against lung cancer. She had a great passion for bible studies, and her love for God.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Beth Robinson (Michael Gibeaut), of McConnelsville, a brother, Donald Robinson, her children, (Tad) Lawrence Eugene Archer, Jr, (Shelly Gardner) of Nashport, OH, Telah Taylor (Scott), of Marietta, Tisha Archer of Heath, Tori (Jim) Shuster of McConnelsville, and step-son Kevin Archer (Sara) of Olmstead Falls.

Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren, Hannah Cotton of Florida, Hallie Fier (Scott) of Lancaster, Devan Benjamin (Alexis) of Marietta, Cade Plotts, Corbin Plotts, and Collin Morrow of Heath, Tanner Campbell of Columbus, James Wyatt Shuster, Jackson Shuster, and Cole Shuster of McConnelsville. Her grandchildren were perfect angels in her eyes and truly brought her so much pleasure. She was at her happiest when she spent time with them. She was very fond of her grandpups, too.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Kenneth George, Jr, and her children’s father, Larry (Lawrence Eugene Archer, Sr).

The family would like to thank Genesis Hospice and the Morrison House for their compassionate end of life care.
