Jerry Roberts Wilson

Jerry Roberts Wilson 89, of Malta, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born December 30, 1935 in Obrien, West Virginia the son of the late, Ivan Wilson and Gertrude Miller Wilson. In 1962 he and his wife and family established Wolf Creek Farms, he was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, member of Malta VFW Post 4713, Malta Grange 717, 4H advisor, Ohio Army National Guard, Ohio Farm Bureau, National Cattleman Association, Ohio Cattleman Association, and received the National Defense Service Medals Parachutist Badge. Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Azcal Mace Wilson; children, Mark D. (Cindy) Wilson, Shirley (Sam) Bellville, Alison (David) Rucker; grandchildren, Maria (Wilson) Burdette, Jon  and Anne (Wilson) Powell, Andrew and Andrea (Wilson) Irwin, Casey Wilson, Curt and Emily Bellville, Jeff and Jill (Bellville) Drumm, Nick Wilson, Alyssa Wilson, Robert and Brianna (Rucker) Mulhollen, Derek and Megan Rucker and Dylan and Michelle (Rucker) Shaw; twenty great grandchildren; one sister, Janice Ruth McConkey; and two brothers, James Bailey Wilson and Brooks Lee Wilson; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Jerry Roberts Wilson II, Steven Wayne Wilson, and Alan Lee Wilson; two brothers, Ivan Bern Wilson, and Jay Leroy Wilson; and a sister, Eugie Wilson Mitchell. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2025 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville  where services will be held Tuesday,  at 1:30 p.m. with Tim Van Horn Officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Wilson Family Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to National Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
