John S. Kalb, 67, of McConnelsville, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at his home.
He was born May 27, 1953, in Zanesville, to the late Robert Kalb and Carma Garrett Kalb.
John was a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 18. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a former Bristol Township Trustee for many years. John was also a member of the Meigs Church Of Christ and the McConnelsville Eagles Club.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Teresa Hook Kalb; two daughters, Accalia Kalb Goldsmith (Joseph) of Zanesville and Emmalee Kalb Willison (Robert) of Savannah, GA; a son, Joshua Kalb of Zanesville; ten grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Barbara Kalb Harris (Erol) of Zanesville and Debbie Kalb Couch (David) of McConnelsville; and a brother, David Kalb (Barbara) of McConnelsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher M. Kalb.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2021, at the funeral home, with David Couch officiating.
