John W. Peters, 92, of Washington, W.V., formerly of McConnelsville passed away March 19, 2026 at the Arcadia Valley Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Coolville. He was born October 16, 1933 in Cleveland a son of the late, John Killer and Olga Mays Killer. He was a retired home builder and was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. John enjoyed watching television and visiting with his buddies. He is survived by two daughters, Jean Propst of Washington, W.V., and Christina Westfall of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Steven (Sedonna) Peters of Knoxville, TN.; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; a sister, Lynne Brenner of Charlotte, N.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian Larko Peters; and his second wife, Linda Peters; a sister, Jeanette Elizabeth Foster; and a brother, Robert Peters. Calling hours will be Monday, March 23, 2026 from 10-11 a.m., at Miller-Huck Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. John will be laid to rest in Malta Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #24 Honor Guard.
