John Woodward, 68, of Davie, FL, passed away from a massive heart attack on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at his home.
He was born March 4, 1950, in Zanesville, to the late John Woodward and Lucy Scott Woodward.
John was the maintenance supervisor of the Nova Town House and had worked many years in construction in the Miami area. Johnny was known as "Woody" to all his many Florida friends. He was a kind and generous man, with a big heart, always helping anyone who needed anything. Florida was his residence, and Morgan County is what he always referred to as home.
He is survived by his son, Sean Woodward of Davie, FL. Also surviving are his sister, Ginny Bond; brothers, Galen (Mary) Woodward and Zale Woodward; and sister-in-law, Joyce Woodward, all of McConnelsville.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Woodward.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.
At his request, he wanted to come home and be laid to rest under the trees next to his parents in McConnelsville Cemetery.
